Kriti was aspiring to be an engineer when she decided to take up a career as a professional actress after working as a model for some time. She made debut in the Telugu movie 1: Nenokkadine. Kriti then proceeded to play a role in the movie Heropanti, which earned her the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut which was her first Bollywood movie. Her most commercially successful movie was Dilwale in the year 2015.
